Carrying on in the Chaos and Quiet

Hello friends,

As you might have noticed, the world is a little chaotic right now. Yikes.

We are doing our part to not participate in the chaos. Like most of you, we have taken the CDC’s and WHO’s advice and are self-quarantining and continuing to work from home. The good news is that our workshop is about four feet from our house, twenty feet from the mailbox, and our website is still open for all your belt needs. There are currently no changes to our turnaround times and we will continue to make belts as long as pants have belt loops.

As for our summer art shows and conventions, public health comes first. We are anticipating a lot of postponements and cancellations for the remainder of the year. This is going to devastate working artists everywhere, so if you can, please reach out and support local artists in your community.

Even though you may be confined to your home, one of the best things you can do is NOT sit around in sweatpants every day. Hold onto some normalcy - get up, getting dressed, and keep your fashion sense sharp for when we can all go out again.

Stay calm, stay classy, and above all stay healthy. Be good to each other and we can’t wait to give you a hug on the other side.

10 Principles of Good Belt Design

What is good design? Bryan and I ask ourselves this question about our belts every day. Is it the simplest buckle, or the one that makes you the happiest to use? Is it one that holds your pants up the best, or the one that sparks conversations with strangers?
