As I write this I'm wearing the Aged Android Black Leather I bought from a booth at the Ann Arbor, MI art fair in July of 2012. It's old enough that it still says patent pending on the back, but it's held up very well. Last night was the first time I did any maintenance on the belt, tightening up the screws on the back that hold the leather in place, although nothing actually seemed lose in wearing it. The only other way it's starting to show it's age is that the silvery finish is wearing away at the top edges of the buckle to show the coppery (I assume brass) underneath, but as it's an aged style to begin with I don't see that as an issue for continued casual wear. For a while when it was new I treated it as my dress belt, including wearing it to my own wedding, but at some point it transitioned to being my casual wear belt and I like it so much I just ordered an Aged Skeleton on brown leather, and I'm eyeing the the Micron as a proper dress belt. Overall I recommend the belt!
Thanks Brian! So glad to hear you're still wearing the Android after all this time. We put your new Skeleton out in the mail today, hope you get just as many years of use out of it. Take care!
Really unique and quite ingenious buckles!
We make all our belts to order and want to make sure you get the right size.
The general rule of thumb is to add two to your pants size (e.g. if you wear a size 32 in jeans, order a size 34 belt). If you are not sure what your size is, use the instructions below to measure your waist. The sizes listed give a range of tightest to loosest that the belt can be worn. Our goal is to fit you in the middle of a belt.
The sizes listed give a range of tightest to loosest that the belt can be worn. Our goal is to fit you in the middle of a belt. If you are not sure what your size is, use the instructions below to measure your waist.
Put on the outfit you want to wear the belt with. Wrap a tape measure loosely around you where you would normally wear the belt and make note of the length.
If your measurement falls in the middle of one of the ranges listed, order that belt size. If not, select “Custom size” when ordering and write your measurement in the notes section at checkout. Write something like: I measured my waist and it is 37". We will make a belt to fit that size, with a couple of inches of room bigger and smaller.
