We put a lot of care into creating our full-grain and ultra-distressed leather belts. Our premium artisan leather is made in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and we hand-cut each one into 1.5-inch wide straps with six holes for adjustment. All our belts are made-to-order in standard and custom sizes.
Our patented sizing stud protects your leather belt from the stresses of everyday wear and eliminates unsightly floppy belt straps. The extra leather tucks neatly behind for a clean look. You can change your size by unscrewing and moving the sizing stud by hand.
As I write this I'm wearing the Aged Android Black Leather I bought from a booth at the Ann Arbor, MI art fair in July of 2012. It's old enough that it still says patent pending on the back, but it's held up very well. Last night was the first time I did any maintenance on the belt, tightening up the screws on the back that hold the leather in place, although nothing actually seemed lose in wearing it. The only other way it's starting to show it's age is that the silvery finish is wearing away at the top edges of the buckle to show the coppery (I assume brass) underneath, but as it's an aged style to begin with I don't see that as an issue for continued casual wear. For a while when it was new I treated it as my dress belt, including wearing it to my own wedding, but at some point it transitioned to being my casual wear belt and I like it so much I just ordered an Aged Skeleton on brown leather, and I'm eyeing the the Micron as a proper dress belt. Overall I recommend the belt!
Thanks Brian! So glad to hear you're still wearing the Android after all this time. We put your new Skeleton out in the mail today, hope you get just as many years of use out of it. Take care!
